Production Coordinator: Derrick Dawkins
Derrick Dawkins is the Production Coordinator of MNN Youth Channel and takes pride in the opportunity to help young people realize the power of voice through community media production. Derrick is an alumni of the Educational Video Center and completed his BA in Film & Media studies at Hunter College. Over the years Derrick has collaborated with EVC to teach media production to youth and teachers in places like Seattle and Croatia. He has completed five short films shot on 16 mm, and 3 short films on digital and currently continues to work professionally as a freelancer. "A well-informed mind is the best security against the contagion of folly".
Programming Coordinator: Diana Quiñones Rivera
Diana Quinones Rivera, from Jayuya, Puerto Rico, started work with MNN in 2007 as a bilingual translator, production coordinator and educator. She’s been actively producing as a filmmaker since 2005 when she arrived in New York City. Mentored by the legendary filmmaker Albert Maysles, Diana has completed her first feature length documentary about a movement piece created by Shua Group in the World Financial Center, NYC. She studied in London Film School and University of Puerto Rico.
