Community Collaborations
Would your organization like to make media about important issues affecting youth today? Youth Channel can host on-site and off-site trainings to your youth group.
Our community collaborations are intended to build media literate youth through screenings of videos, discussions, pre-production lessons, and basic hands-on training. The workshops are not intended to be a technical certification program, but rather a media awareness development program that will provide participants with media exposure through media literacy and production skills.
All trainings are project based, lasting from 6-8 sessions, and conducted by the YC Peer Trainers. In the past, YC and its community partners have collaborated to create a variety of youth made videos, including documentaries, public service announcements, acted narratives, sports journalism and broadcasting.
